The Opportunity:

Apixio is a mission-driven data science company passionate to make the practice of medicine more science than art. We are looking for an experienced Area VP of Sales, who shares our vision, to join our winning team and help us make a difference.

This is a critical role for Apixio and it will be an exciting and challenging role for the right candidate.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Develop and execute contractual agreements for Apixio solutions with MA and MSSP provider groups at the VP or C-Level Suite
  • Consistent prospecting within assigned territory to ensure that Apixio is in the mix to compete for all buying decisions
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycle activities and deal contracting process
  • Serve as the tip of the spear coordinating activities across Apixio’s operational, technical, clinical, and legal teams
  • Implement the strategies and business plans necessary to attain the net sales growth objectives
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue quota for each quarter and the fiscal year
  • Through successful selling, drive significant market share growth for Apixio within assigned territory
  • Update Salesforce and other available systems at least weekly so all information is accurate and current
  • Attend, participate in a variety of industry sponsored conferences
  • Ability to travel between 50%-75%
  • Work from home with a reasonable commute to a major airport

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in Senior Sales role within healthcare.
  • Past focus on Health IT, preferably, within HCC Risk Adjustment and Quality (HEDIS & STARS) processes
  • 5-10 years of meeting and exceeding sales quota while selling into C-suite Medicare Advantage and Commercial Risk insurers
  • Superior presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business writing skills
  • Proven experience generating new business through C-suite relationships
  • Ability to effectively manage internal relationships and be collaborative and team oriented
  • Proven experience collaborating within corporate environment to get results
  • Without question, must demonstrate high level of integrity and operate as a team player
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Google Apps and Salesforce 
  • Familiarity with the Challenger Sales Process
  • Bonus points for being on the West Coast (preferred geography)

The salary range below is for Base Salary. Total compensation also includes benefits and variable compensation. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location.

Base Compensation

$105,000—$200,000 USD
