The Planet Group have recently been engaged by a multinational hospitality organisation to secure a Workday Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis in Switzerland. (Canton of Zug)

Job Summary:

The Workday Project Manager will play a critical role in the global deployment of our clients new HRIS and will encompasses Phase 1, Phase 2, and future Phase X projects. The successful candidate will possess significant experience in Workday implementations and project management including experience of Workday Launch setups utilising a ‘Big Bang’ approach across multiple locations.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the HR Systems Manager, Project teams and the HR teams across the globe, serving as the trusted liaison with the implementation partner for the design, build, configuration, testing, and other deliverables for the deployment of Workday.
  • Ensure that the deployment of all Workday projects align with the group’s strategic objectives and business needs.
  • Analyse and optimize business processes for effective integration of Workday solutions, recommending and implementing best practices to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Assist in the development of the training programs for end-users, ensuring a smooth transition to the new system.
  • Provide continuous support for Workday users, resolving any operational challenges.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between technical teams, department leaders, and end-users regarding Workday deployments and updates.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, IT, and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of Workday.
  • Support the adaptation and testing of biannual Workday releases.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Proven experience in Workday implementations, preferable in the hospitality industry
  • Strong understanding of Workday architecture, security model, and business processes framework
  • In-depth knowledge of HR and financial processes as related to Workday modules
  • Preferred background in hospitality or related industries
  • Key Skills Required:
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting complex issues independently.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to tasks, with a strong emphasis on personal initiative and hands-on execution
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field - Desired
