Warehouse Supervisor

Who You Are

You are an Operational supervisor with good coordinating and leadership skills guiding the Warehouse Leads and Operators in their daily activities to reach respective targets and Key Performance Indicators.

You are a continues improvement minded person which monitors efficiency and applies methods to improve processes across different functions.

You have an intermediate understanding of the end-to-end supply chain and understands who your internal/external customers are.

He/ She reports into the Warehouse Manager.

What you’ll do

The Warehouse Supervisor is coordinating the day-to-day departmental operation supporting the DC Field team To optimize the end to end DC Process & Inventory flow. The Warehouse Supervisor is hierarchical managing a section of the Operational team and reports towards the Warehouse Manager.

Next to coordinating the day-to-day departmental processes he or she is initiating and responsible for Continues improvements within the DC Operations department.

He or She will be in daily contact with his/her counterparts (DC Supervisors) to collaborate on the daily coordination of the Operational activities and will work according to agreed KPI’s.

The Warehouse Supervisor covers a group of approximately 1-2 Warehouse Leads and is responsible for a group of between 10 to 60 Operational employees.

Objectives and responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor

  • Ensure compliancy with company policy and regulations.
  • Monitor efficiency and apply methods to improve.
  • Analyze and report on performances.
  • Analyze and work against the needs of internal/external customers.
  • Supervise and train employees (Team development).
  • Provide administrative support when necessary.
  • Organize necessary certifications through external institute
  • Taking corrective actions where needed in cooperation with the team
  • Identifies risks on Operational matters and reports these to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Works together with various departments as F.I. Logistics, Customs, Planning etc.
  • Responsible for personnel matters (conducting performance appraisals, (interim) evaluation conversations, corrective conversations, personal conversations etc.)
  • Responsible for sickness absence (absence conversations, guidance, reporting, contact ARBO etc.)
  • Responsible for correct time registration and processing for your employees and temporary employees
  • Perform administrative tasks (interview reports, time registration, process descriptions, tracking logs, staff scheduling, Performance’s reporting.
  • Controlling of hours registrations.

You’ll Need to Have

  • Solid English skills (verbal & writing)
  • MBO+ working- and thinking level.
  • At least 3 years Leadership experience & extensive knowledge of various operational departments.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Understanding of the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Experienced MS Office.
  • Social skills for maintaining internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business manuals and an extensive variety of instructions, incl. health & safety Instructions, and deal with abstract and concrete variables
