About this opportunity 

The Align Treat Release Team is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support our organization by assisting in building CI/CD needs in the service of a wide range of Engineering and Software Quality Assurance (SQA) teams.

You will lead the charge on CI/CD automation through a variety of Industry Standard tool sets as well as interfacing with in-house solutions. You will work closely with other Software Engineers as part of our organization and other Automation Engineers within Treat Release Team and Internal Tooling groups.

You will act as a developer in providing middleware solutions that enable the visibility of our work and develop solutions that drive our ability to excel within the complex ecosystems required of a medical device company.

In this role, you will… 

  • Support software CI/CD pipeline in existing software tooling stack infrastructure
  • Develop tools, frameworks and automatic solutions to improve SCM, CI/CD and overall SDLC across the company
  • Find, evaluate and implement new plugins, tools and services
  • Ensure tooling stack is working robustly and configured matching internal company policies and practices
  • Work directly with development teams in multiple geographical locations in order to improve CI process, implement SDLC best practices, accordingly to their requests and need

In this role, you’ll need … 

  • 3+ years experience working as Software Developer/SDET/DevOps Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer
  • Understanding of full-scale enterprise SDLC process
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Familiarity with CICD tools (Atlassian Bamboo, GitLab or similar)
  • Skills in Python programming
  • 1+ years working in a cloud environment as software or operations engineer (AWS preferred)
  • 3+ years working on systems admin level with Linux and/or Windows
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration practices and tools
  • Familiarity working with configuration and/or infrastructure management frameworks (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Familiarity deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining distributed systems and/or client-server applications
  • DVCS experience, preferably Git
  • Familiarity working in Agile environment
  • Familiarity with container-based technologies (docker, etc)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with SQL and modern SQL DBs
  • Bachelor or a master’s degree in computer science or related
  • English - B2
