Our Noble Drilling Gdańsk office, which appeared on Tricity map in 2019, is designed to deliver the highest level of services to our Rigs located around the world. Joining us, you will become a part of our team of more than 200 colleagues, all of whom are dedicated to support our fleet, delivering services such as: Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, Category Management, Global HR (Crewing, Training, Manning, Employee Cycle, Local HR), Offshore IT, Local IT, Technical HUB, HSSEQ.

Your responsibilities

  • Producing month-end and year-end financial reporting & tasks including: performing all Period End reporting related activities, maintaining accruals and prepayments, ensuring the correctness of reported numbers, providing all information required for financial disclosures
  • Preparing Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Participating in preparation of Statutory Financial Statements and data requested by auditors
  • Managing the balance sheet positions, by ensuring up to date matching, collecting supporting documentation, investigating old or unreconciled positions
  • Process transactional activities, queries, issues and open items in a timely and service-minded manner
  • Operating in line with agreed controls, policies and procedures
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and support the design and implementation of process improvements
  • Building good working relationships with colleagues

Our requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in financial accounting or reporting
  • Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required (min. B2/C1)
  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Experience in navigating, working and succeeding in complex stakeholder landscapes
  • Experience with MS Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of process standardisation and improvement
  • Understanding of internal controls and risk management
  • Service minded and solution-oriented approach to query handling
  • International mindset – preferably working previously in GBS set up
  • Knowledge of fixed-assets (would be an advantage)
  • Maintaining and updating fixed asset records, including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation calculations, and valuations
  • Assisting with the preparation of fixed asset schedules for financial reporting purposes
