Technical Writer

The Technical Writer will produce complete and accurate customer-facing documents for NXP’s Advanced Analog business line, including data sheets, hardware and software user manuals, and application notes. The Technical Writer will work with management and engineering staff to produce complete and accurate documentation that meets corporate standards and is appropriate for its intended audiences.

The successful candidate will exhibit:

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.
  • Strong writing and technical editing skills.
  • Ability to work with engineering content and develop it into documentation.
  • Thorough understanding of topic-based authoring, technical writing, content management principles and the publishing process.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including willingness and ability to consult with the subject matter experts.
  • Ability to be self-directed and work independently, yet equally comfortable collaborating in a global team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent semiconductor industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a technical writer, editor, or content strategist, with a focus on semiconductor or technology products.
  • Demonstrable experience in DITA or other structured authoring environment
  • Proficiency in oXygen XML Author, FrameMaker, Illustrator, Inkscape, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, MS Office, and Sharepoint
  • Experience managing content, including coordinating with other teams.
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute projects, with a strong bias for action and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
