Position Summary

Receive and inspect various deliveries for quality and accuracy in an assigned department; maintain and update accurate records of inventory and perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements

Education directly related to the minimum requirements below may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. 

High school diploma or GED; and

Four (4) years of warehousing or inventory experience.

Preferred Knowledge

  • Principles and practices of inventory control and quality assurance
  • Principles and practices of inventory management
  • Operations and services of a warehouse
  • Operational characteristics of warehousing equipment
  • Principles of business letter writing and basic report preparation
  • Basic mathematical principles
  • Modern office procedures, methods and equipment including computers
  • Pertinent Federal, State and local codes, laws and regulations

Preferred Skills & Abilities

  • Receive and inspect deliveries for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain and update inventory
  • Prepare accurate purchase orders
  • Prepare clear and concise reports
  • Operate a forklift in a safe and effective manner
  • Communicate clearly and concisely
  • Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
