All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Texas Health Hospital Mansfield- operates as a joint venture between Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth.** **Schedule:** PRN **Shift** : One weekend day per month coverage as needed throughout the week Including coverage for 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year. **Location:** 2300 Lone Star Road; Mansfield, TX 76063 **The community you’ll be caring for:** · Join a family of caregivers focused on whole-person health and committed to making communities healthier. · Provide wholistic care for patients that extends to the spiritual level by praying with patients and families. Chaplains are available to meet with patients, families and team members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide spiritual support. · Help develop a brand new $150 million community hospital and medical office building that will provide services such as Emergency Services, Medical/Surgical, ICU, Women’s Services, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Interventional Cardiology and Gastroenterology. · Grow in your career with AdventHealth, named in 2018 by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare”. Mansfield has top-rated schools, over 1000 acres of parkland, quality housing, a historic downtown area, recreational opportunities for all ages, and a growing business community. **The role you’ll contribute:** Evaluates and Conducts medically prescribed Speech Language pathology treatment programs. **The value you’ll bring to the team:** · Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform speech language, cognitive and swallowing skills · Designs and Implements a treatment plan of care utilizing Practice Standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines and patient's needs. Monitors patient response and progress to treatment and modifies treatment plan as appropriate. · Documents and Charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department /hospital policy and procedures · Provides discharge planning assistance and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and follow-up services · Handles and disposes of hazardous waste following established protocol. Consistently adheres to department's radiation dosimetry process, including meeting all badge return deadlines in a timely manner · Educates patients, family members, and caregivers about identified needsv **The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:** **Minimum qualifications** : · High School Grad or Equiv · Basic Life Support (BLS) certification · A license or provisional license in the State as a Speech and Language Pathologist · Modified Barium Swallow Study experience **Preferred qualifications:** · Certificate of Clinical Competence by American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA) · NMES Training · LSVT · Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) experiencev This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
