Introduction

Scania Transmission Assembly Workshop is an industrial unit within the Scania production and Logistics system. At the site, we assemble Axles, Gearboxes and e-Mobility products for Scania and MAN trucks and buses. Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to becoming a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. The transmission Assembly Factory is right in the centre of Scania’s transformation towards electrification. 

We are now looking for a Business Controller with a true passion for business who can contribute to the development and strengthening of our team! 

Role Summary

The function scope consists of Controlling, analyzing, and reporting together with a team of Business Controllers who work closely to the business to support the management as well as the organization with project cost calculations, product cost simulations, cost targets, performance reports, feasibilities studies, and decision materials. This task demands qualitative, timely, and relevant economic and financial information. To achieve our goals, we need innovative and positive employees, with the ability to influence the organization along our transformation journey.

The position involves many contact points within the organization with employees in production, logistics, and finance. You work cross-functionally with other controllers outside Transmission assembly such as purchasing, research & development, and with central finance functions.

In this position, you will be responsible for the product cost estimations, forecasts, performance indicators, cost follow-ups, productivity target definition and follow-up on the actual results. 

Your main responsibilities

  • Prepare calculations, simulations, and follow-ups for project costs, Investments, and business cases connected to E-mobility.
  • Act as controller of production in the transmission plant, DT Sodertalje, supporting the production areas, engineering, and production leaders in general subjects connected to the economy and finance.
  • Prepare and present cost projections, Capital Expenditure, and project budget monitoring
  • Prepare and present business cases and simulations of production costs.
  • Analyze the results of the projects and identify possible improvements in the level of costs and CAPEX, ensuring the objectives in relation to the Cost objectives and investment funds.
  • Establish contacts with Scania Latin America and Traton organization to discuss project cost levels and business cases.
  • Advise the managers of the factory, as well as their direct teams, in the coordination, reporting, and consolidation of the numbers related to costs and investments.

Your profile

To succeed in this role, you have a few years of previous experience in Controlling (preferably in production controlling), and a degree in finance, economics, business administration, or similar. You should be an experienced Excel user and also have professional fluency in English.

As a person, you are responsible, structured, and accurate with problem-solving analysis. Being a good communicator and have a willingness to influence, change and adapt to changing processes and circumstances in our daily operations are also key factors to being successful in this role. A service-minded and solution-oriented attitude is something we place great value in.
