We’re looking for a Junior .Net Developer to join our team in New Zealand during a time of growth. This role will see you ensuring our software is built with security, quality, scalability, and maintainability as top of mind.

You will get to:

  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to operations and activities
  • Adhere to patterns and practices for secure software development
  • Responding to requests from the development team leaders.
  • Ensure all code is documented and participate in code reviews
  • Contribute during estimation and design sessions
  • Ensure “shift left” testing policies are implemented, with unit testing being part of each code Release
  • Adhere to the rules in place for our source control management (ie. Git)
  • Participate in Lightning Talk sessions to share knowledge amongst the group
  • Continue to contribute to our CI/CD strategy

More about you: 

  • Strong analytical skills plus excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated orientation towards using initiative, being proactive and accountable
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to prioritise competing requirements
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Experience in .Net Core and designing modern single-page applications using libraries like ReactJS
  • Exposure to SaaS principles and architectural patterns
  • Knowledge of public cloud technologies
  • Familiarity with both API web service design and API client consumption
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases
  • Strong awareness of operational risks associated with DB schema changes, production DB modifications, and query performance
  • Minimum 1-2 years .NET development experience
