About the role

Uber Eats is seeking a business leader and a partner success manager to drive business growth and innovation by acting as a trusted advisor for our Mid-Market restaurant customers in Japan. You will be handling 15 - 20 account simultenrosly and closely working with C-levels and POC of our restaurant partners and design a winning strategy and define the go-to-market plan while actively maximizing the growth of our restaurant clients’ online food business with Uber Eats.

A successful candidate should understand the needs of our restaurants and be able to build strong relationships with key decision makers. Finally, this individual should have the capability to identify and exploit new market opportunities and push our business forward.

This role calls for a well-rounded combination of critical thinking, strategy building, sales and commercial skills, operational excellence and leadership. We operate in a fast-paced environment, so we want a highly adaptable candidate who is able to adjust between long-term strategic initiatives one moment and rapid, tactical actions the next.

Your impact in role:

  • Sales/Account Management: Building the best partnerships with the right merchants, while driving growth and financial sustainability with our merchant partners and with a commercial team.
  • Operations Management - Identify process inefficiencies, build solutions, and drive operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for resource allocations and launch readiness.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Sales and commercial acuity - ability to build creative commercial strategy, and analyze complex situations using a vast range of data, drawing simple conclusions and turn them into actionable plans.
  • Outstanding track record of achieving business targets within sales, account management or customer success roles.
  • Eye for business. Understanding of how businesses and organizations work and how to navigate a partner’s business (identifying their struggles and driving for long-term growth)
  • Customer success / account management experiences with SMB and/or Enterprise clients
  • Ideally (not mandatory) background in food and beverage industry.
  • Full proficiency in English and Japanese
