Job Description:

We are now looking for an Assistant Manager, HNW Wealth Structuring & Sales Support having the following key roles and purposes:

  • Wealth Structuring and Sales Support on key HNW relationships and cases
  • Work with internal and external parties to support and win HNW cases
  • Support the development and expertise in Wealth Structuring at SLHK and with the various channels
  • Ability to work and partner with Private Banks, Trusts, Lawyers, and EAM’s

Working closely and in partnership with HNW Case Management is key to help achieve:

  • all necessary documentation as required is received and properly completed, and all administrative and compliance processes are followed and monitored as to timeliness and quality
  • cases are processed and all primary records and systems data is captured
  • medical and other requirements are coordinated and handled promptly, including the arranging of such requirements
  • policies are issued in accordance with Sun Life Insurances standards
  • policyholder and policy information is kept up-to-date through full lifecycle.

Also:

  • Help support and drive HNW Alternative Channels Sales and Training
  • Help with Private Bank approvals including all paperwork and processes
  • Help with Trust, PIC, Corporate and Insurable Interest Structuring
  • New Partnership opportunities with brokers, banks, and wealth structuring firms

The key is to be able to think on your feet, and work with members of internal and external teams (Often Legal and Compliance) to reach positive solutions and outcomes, while always protecting Sun Life.

Major accountabilities

  • Help support the Wealth Structuring procedures and process at SLHK, and support the expanding of HNW Wealth Structuring relationships
  • Work with internal and external parties to support and win HNW cases
  • Support the development and expertise in Wealth Structuring at SLHK and with the various channels
  • Help check cases, improve efficiency, and make it easier to do HNW business with SLHK
  • Be the internal conduit and champion for HNW team through using strong relationship, influencing and communication skills
  • Working closely and in partnership with HNW Case Management is key to help achieve effective process efficiency, policy insurance & renewal, client relations, and claims administration of cases and undertake other duties as may be required
  • Maintain high quality service standard expected of Sun Life brand in order to foster long lasting client relationships
  • Obtain sufficient information and documentation from clients to review cases and Underwriting requirements
  • Develop and leverage competitor market knowledge and identify areas to improve and make it easier to do business at SLHK. And help implement changes
  • Work with HUBS team and share expertise
  • Ensure compliance with all guidelines and other operational standards and procedures as well as relevant regulations and laws

Specialized knowledge

  • Good HNW Sales Support and Ops Knowledge and experience
  • Good Wealth Structuring Experience
  • Sales, Marketing and HNW/Banking/Insurance knowledge
  • HNW and Ultra HNW Sales Support experience
  • University (BA) or (BS)
  • IHNW Ops/Case Management Experience
  • Ability to train/support HNW sales in Alternative Distribution
  • Good Risk/Compliance knowledge
  • Clear evidence of appropriate skill and competencies and appropriate insurance qualification
  • Confident and good “can do” attitude
  • Pro-activity: Can anticipate the needs of the customer and the work environment. Does not wait to be told or instructed. Searches out opportunities to help others in the team. Anticipates problems before they occur and before it causes consequence.

  • Communication: Excellent comprehension and ability in English and Cantonese – spoken and written. Ideally Mandarin.
