We strive to find motivated individuals who are passionate about strategic sourcing and enjoy navigating a global organization. Schneider Electric’s Indirect Procurement team tackles fundamental business issues such as controlling costs, managing risk and improving service - every day. Indirect Procurement expenditures account for nearly one quarter of total company revenue. 

We are currently seeking a Sourcing Manager with high proficiency in procurement who will be responsible for Strategic Sourcing for the CAPEX category in North America, including Production / Facilities Equipment and Building Construction. This individual’s role will be focused on sourcing and category management to drive value, efficiency, and savings based on Schneider Electric’s digitization goals and business priorities. This role will be a part of the North America Regional sourcing team within the Indirect Procurement organization. 

Desired location for this role is Monterrey, MX and the role will report to the North America Region Indirect Procurement Director.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible to perform indirect procurement strategic sourcing productivity actions in support of NAM strategic priorities. Deliver minimum of 5% savings for assigned scope, which positively impact SE’s bottom line.
  • Drive compliance to global category strategies and strategic vendors, with a focus on key NAM stakeholders to identify and implement productivity actions in line with regional business goals
  • Build close working relationship with NAM stakeholders and propose changes to optimize and reduce our spend
  • Develop competitive bidding packages, launch RFI/RFQ/RFP through SE tools, effectively negotiate with vendors for best in class pricing, and negotiate strong contracts (MSAs, SOWs etc) in collaboration with legal
  • Manage supplier performance, including but not limited to supplier business reviews, managing escalations, monitoring operational KPI's to meet SE objectives
  • Delivers high level of customer service with critical stakeholder groups within NAM Global Supply Chain to ensure the program meets critical business needs.
  • Proficient in purchasing tools (iSave, Coupa, PRISM, SSP-SRM) and associated processes
  • Support critical company initiatives including Improvement Payment terms, Sustainability, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, ISO26000, etc

This job might be for you if you fit the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or Operations from an accredited college/university
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant procurement / strategic sourcing background with proven successes in developing and implementing sourcing strategies across various indirect procurement categories, particularly Capital purchases including Manufacturing equipment, Facility equipment, and Building Construction
  • Ability to build solid supplier and stakeholder relationships, and excellent relationship management
  • Strong project management, organization, teamwork and peer influence skills, with strong customer-focus
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Highly engaged, self-starter / motivated individual with drive for results, effective planning / prioritization, and multi-tasking
