Summary

We are looking for an Enterprise IT Disaster Recovery Senior Analyst to join our Cyber Security team. As the Enterprise IT Disaster Recovery Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities guiding the Enterprise Technology/IT Disaster Recovery Program and managing the IT DR Framework (ITDR) including developing and managing strategies, frameworks, and policies to support business needs. This role will take responsibility for Enterprise Technology/IT Disaster Recovery exercises and needs to understand and update the critical asset list of IT services, applications, and suppliers on regular basis. Within this role you will work closely with various stakeholders including Business owners, IT, Enterprise Resilience Governance group, and key third-party suppliers to enhance the efficiency and success of the ITDR Framework. This role will also interface frequently with management to report on status of disaster recovery activities and current capabilities. As a Senior Analyst in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team you will also develop, execute, and continuously maintain an effective Enterprise Technology/IT DR program while also providing support and input into the group’s overall governance, risk, and compliance roadmap plans. The IT DR plan should define the organization’s roadmap for ensuring a viable capability, and outline the organization’s approach to maintaining plans, identifying resource and budget requirements that enable DR capabilities, and provide a schedule for conducting various types of DR events including tabletop exercises.

What You'll Do

As the IT Disaster Recovery Senior Analyst your main duties will include: 

  • Manage and maintain the overall enterprise IT Disaster Recovery Framework (ITDR) and policies incorporating IT and Cyber requirements. Ensure that disaster recovery and business continuity plans drive disaster recovery strategy, procedures, and solutions.
  • Develop effective strategies to respond to Enterprise technology/IT and operational service disruption in the event of a significant incident or disaster, and form disaster recovery strategies based on research and prior incidents. Post implementation in partnership with various groups across the business monitoring the strategies put in place, as well as suggesting any modifications, when necessary, in partnership with various groups across the business and maintain appropriate monitoring of objectives and Key performance and risk indicators.
  • Responsible for consulting with business owners, IT, and other support teams to define, develop, and coordinate disaster recovery plans and scheduling and participating in all Disaster Recovery exercises, ensuring integrity of disaster recovery procedures throughout.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Resilience Governance Group, project stakeholders, and IT on a continual basis to ensure the timely completion of tests on core IT systems and services and review ITDR policy and guideline(s) and assist with any Business Continuity Management Systems creation.
  • Responsible for reviewing the outcomes of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and aligning the Disaster Recovery framework, strategy and plans to support business need.
  • Maintain a failure scenario risk document describing the possible failure scenarios/events to be included in the response plans as part of the ITDR framework.
  • Participate in Enterprise Resilience and Cybersecurity tabletop exercises and implement recommended improvements into ITDR program.

What We're Looking For

As a IT Disaster Recovery Senior Analyst, you will have: 

  • 3-5 years experience covering Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery processes and standards, certification in CBCP or CFCP is preferred and familiarity with DR frameworks such as ISO27031, ISO22301, ISO27301, ISO27001, ISO27034, NIST 800-34, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
  • Expertise in Disaster Recovery planning and execution and experienced in disaster recovery operations and management.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information protection (information security), or a related IT field is required and a Cybersecurity related certification such as CISSP, or Project Management certification such as PMP is desired.
  • Must know elementary IT network principles and have suitable experience in IT operations implementing and supporting web and middleware solutions in a data center environment including understanding of current recovery solutions, high availability architectures and systems architecture and knowledge of crisis communication solutions.
  • Strong acumen to quickly learn new business processes and understand how application performance requirements support the business in achieving revenue and profit goals. 
  • Familiarity with business continuity program life cycle plans and source deliverables (e.g., risk assessments, bias, continuity planning) is essential.
  • Interpersonal skills and experience developing effective relationships with key stakeholders and experience working with geographically dispersed team with global scope and remit.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the articulation of technical elements for business representatives. Ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve conflict.
  • Proven experience of complex problem solving, making recommendations, and taking into consideration variables to achieve the desired outcomes.
