Our assurance staff accountants participate in all phases of the audit process, from initial planning meetings to closing audit discussions. They perform assurance procedures on a variety of engagements, such as audits, reviews, and compilations. Our assurance staff accountants gain valuable experience working with staff at all levels and interact directly with clients across a variety of industry verticals. Our assurance staff are the foundation for any successful engagement.

Assurance staff use their intellectual acuity and judgement, critically evaluating financial information. They apply their accounting and assurance knowledge in when planning, assessing risks, and performing procedures. They will prepare workpapers, and very importantly, effectively communicate with the engagement team and clients building personal and firm credibility.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and/or proof financial statements
  • Prepare work paper documentation according to the Firm’s standards
  • Perform client inventory observations when applicable
  • Become familiar with:
  • The Firm’s policies and procedures
  • Firm computer hardware and software
  • The service the Firm provides
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
  • Ability to work full-time (plus overtime) 

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Previous professional work or internship experience in public accounting or related field
  • One plus years' related experience preferred 
  • CPA preferred, qualified to sit for the CPA examination
  • Ability to apply knowledge obtained by a bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • A willingness and ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
