About the Role

In this opportunity as Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will:

  • This role is for professionals skilled in CI/CD, GitHub, ADO, AWS Cloud, CloudFormation, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker and Datadog. This role also needs exposure to Windows/Unix admin, Python, Perl, PowerShell scripting and various other DevOps tools.
  • Additionally this team has to own new projects like Modernization and DC Exit. There is business risk of not filling this role - this 24x7 shift-based function will not be sustainable with a smaller number of resources, both from a shift-coverage standpoint (vacation & sick time coverage, shift overlap/transition, etc) as well as keeping up with the required rate of change across Findlaw products (application build/deployments, patching, security and data center driven change/initiatives, etc), which will lead to risk of customer-facing disruption for the business.
  • Strong bias for action and passion for taking initiative, accepting personal responsibility to deliver on commitments, having courage to raise issues, and proactively working to resolve issues and remove barriers in a timely manner. 
  • Sound knowledge of Linux and Shell scripts and Python, Perl, PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of Application servers (Websphere) and webserver(Tomcat)
  • Execute the day-to-day build/deploy requests as per the request from the Dev team or Release Management team.
  • Partner with software development teams and other organizations to ensure their needs are being met and that our services are adding value. 
  • Research and implement new, innovative ways of providing quality SCM services.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Senior Site Reliability Engineer if your background includes:

  • At least 4-5 years of software configuration management experience.
  • Experience in working on software configuration management or software development of enterprise applications developed using object-oriented and distributed Internet technologies (Java, C++, C#, .NET, J2EE, web services, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge and/or experience with software configuration management tools (TFS, VSS, ClearCase, CVS, Perforce, etc.) and techniques used in automated solutions (MS Build, Ant, Perl scripts.). 
  • Strong bias for action and passion for taking initiative, accepting personal responsibility to deliver on commitments, having courage to raise issues, and proactively working to resolve issues and remove barriers in a timely manner. 
  • Sound knowledge of Linux and Shell scripts.
