We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our Tel-Aviv team as the Head of DevOps (Retail Execution). This leader will be instrumental in optimizing our infrastructure, enhancing observability, championing efficient CI/CD practices, and implementing FinOps strategies to ensure cost-effective resource utilization.

Responsibilities 

  • Team leadership: Guide and mentor a high-performing team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
  • Kubernetes expertise: Design, implement, optimize, and secure our production-grade Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, observability, and cost efficiency.
  • Cloud operations: Architect and optimize our cloud environment (preferably AWS or GCP) with a strong emphasis on security, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Observability: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions to provide deep insights into system health, performance, security, and cost drivers.
  • CI/CD and development responsibilities: Design and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the development teams. Advocate for developer-friendly tools, processes, and documentation, streamlining development workflows within our cloud environment.
  • FinOps champion: Proactively analyze cloud spending, identify cost optimization opportunities, and implement FinOps strategies to align resource usage with business goals.
  • Staying up to date: Research and evaluate emerging DevOps tools, cloud technologies, security practices, and FinOps methodologies to continuously enhance our platform. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps roles.
  • 2+ years of experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, administration, security, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably AWS or GCP), cloud-native technologies, and security practices.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles, methodologies, and security considerations within pipelines.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • In-depth knowledge of observability tools and techniques (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger).
  • Experience in FinOps principles and cost-optimization practices.
  • Solid coding skills, preferably in Python.
  • Solid foundation in IT operations, including system administration (Linux), networking, and security.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
