We are looking for a Fixed Term Senior Data Analyst to focus on our Mobile Solutions (Joist and Invoice Simple products).

Invoice Simple is the leading invoice app for contractors, freelancers, owner-operators, creatives, and other small business owners in any industry and in any country. Responsibilities:

The Senior Data Analyst will work with product management, marketing, finance and leadership to ensure that we have the right data and proactive insights to deliver high quality, engaging, and intuitive products and services that make customers happy(er). You excel at understanding business objectives, identifying data and analytical needs, and providing consultative support to guide decision-making. This role involves developing analytic solutions for various use cases that drive value for Joist and Invoice Simple, collaborating with stakeholders to shape new business strategies, and serving as an authority on specific business domains including experimentation, price analysis, data integrity and data opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Product Management, Product Development, and Design teams to lead analytics initiatives from start to finish. Utilize the full spectrum of data analytics: from gathering requirements to data acquisition (ETL), building dashboards, conducting advanced analysis, presenting findings, and driving actionable insights.
  • Translate complex business needs into a clear roadmap with important milestones and deliverables.
  • Oversee the creation, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of comprehensive end-to-end key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Create user-friendly dashboards, ensuring data visualization enhances insights and communication across the organization.
  • Summarize detailed analyses tailored to different stakeholders, from executives to detailed reports, to highlight business-relevant insights from data.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in the analytics pipeline to streamline workflows and boost efficiency.
  • Regularly audit data quality and integrity, implementing measures to maintain accuracy and reliability in all analyses and reports.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies in data analytics, integrating innovative methods to enhance analytical capabilities and strategic decision-making.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • At least 4 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data science roles, preferably within a SAAS environment.
  • Ability to find useful insights in data and share them clearly with others.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaborate well with different teams, even with minimal guidance.
  • Experience with tools for analyzing data on the web.
  • Skill in creating easy-to-understand visual reports using data visualization tools.
  • Experience working directly with databases, especially using SQL.
  • Understanding of basic statistical concepts for data analysis.
  • Strong SQL skills for writing and executing queries efficiently.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms like BigQuery, Periscope, or Looker.
  • Experience with behavioral analytics tools like Amplitude or Heap.
  • Attention to detail in analyzing data while keeping business goals in mind.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for explaining complex ideas clearly.

Nice to have: A bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.

Where:

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in Canada – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: EverCommerce is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $130,000 CAD Per Year. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. EverCommerce considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, the candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
