The impact you’ll make

As Senior Product Manager, Platform (Helios), you will work closely with product management and cross-functional teams to define and evolve our portfolio of promotion-related products. You will focus on building scalable, performant and resilient microservices and customer-facing flows to support the best ecommerce customer experience possible for all our lines of business, including Online Grocery (PC Express), Joe Fresh, Shoppers Drug Mart and more, while helping to define the vision, strategy, and owning the product roadmap.

We are looking for a candidate who is obsessed with delivering the most customer-centric experience, showing proven success in ownership, bias for action, and thinking big. As Senior Product Manager, you need to exhibit an ability to make the hard, high-judgment trade-offs, and work in a fast-paced, analytical, and experiment-driven environment to drive scale. The right candidate will bring a good foundation of experience with product management skill set, eCommerce, technical fluency - you must feel comfortable understanding and discussing technology concepts with engineering - and a roll-up-your-sleeves, entrepreneurial attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.

What you'll do

  • You’ll develop a deep understanding of our business, customers, customer journeys, competition, and technology.
  • You will product manage on the pricing and promotion engine (primarily back end components), making sure that our promotional capabilities are best in class and align with industry trends. You will be responsible for helping create tooling and documentation to enable merchandiser and marketers to meet their promotional goals. You will be responsible for becoming the domain expert, evolving our internal capabilities and rules to introduce new capabilities maintenance, operations, documentation, onboarding of new businesses, and supporting lines of business that use these products.
  • Help bring improvements to the voucher management experiences across the Loblaw Digital ecosystem that support our customers in the jobs they need to do
  • Work with multiple cross-functional teams such as engineering, product, design, privacy, security, 3rd parties, internal customers, business stakeholders and customer service to create and manage the pricing and promotion product roadmap.
  • Support the product backlog including daily prioritization, grooming, writing user stories and generally keeping the development team unblocked and running as fast as possible.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and align senior leadership on vision & roadmap
  • Be responsible & accountable for achieving the roadmap goals in collaboration with business & technical teams
  • Generate and test sound hypotheses for any new product development and ensure we’re building products with the right return on investment.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative analysis when making key product decisions.
  • Participate in collecting feedback from technical and end-users and translating these findings into service capabilities.

  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
  • You know that writing great requirements takes time, patience and attention. You care about making them clear, accurate, and keeping them current.
  • You are obsessed with testing and experimentation as part of product development.
  • You are comfortable communicating and presenting ideas to the leadership team.
  • You can articulate ideas and solutions clearly and are capable of influencing others. 

What you'll need:

  • 4+ years of product management experience 
  • Technical experience or similar, such as owning API products 
  • Solid understanding of agile 
  • Solid stakeholder management skills 
  • Ability to work independently and sift through ambiguity 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Solid understanding and proficiency in using data analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or similar
  • Bonus: Experience building and launching products that provide prices, deals, promotions and voucher capabilities for ecommerce businesses.
