We are looking to recruit an experienced Lead SAP FI/CO Functional Consultant to join our SAP Centre of Expertise at Walgreens Boots Alliance and work on our exciting S/4 HANA implementation programme.

About the role

Reporting to the Functional Lead Senior Delivery Manager, you will lead the SAP FI/CO team within the SAP Centre Of Expertise.

In this role, you will take responsibility for four direct reports and provide mentorship for junior sap consultant graduates.

This role is a combination of team leading and hands on SAP FI/CO Functional Consulting

As a highly experienced SAP FI/CO Consultant you will participate on our SAP S4 implementation and subsequent projects.

You will foster closer relationships with our business customers and drive innovation to add value to the business.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Line manage and lead the FI/CO functional team
• Lead and support the Design Governance within the FI/CO functional area
• Hands-on Functional Consulting in SAP FI/CO on our S/4 HANA programme and subsequent projects/programmes
• Responsibility for mapping the requirements-based business processes and corresponding data structures in FI/CO
• Collection, analysis and coordination of requirements from relevant areas within the business as well as design and implementation in SAP (including estimating and resource assignment and planning)
• Driving a closer relationship with business partners to provide solutions and drive innovation and business benefit
• Designing and running workshops
• Mentoring team members

What you’ll need to have

• 10+ years experience in SAP FICO Functional Consulting design, configuration and delivery
• Strong cross-modular integration knowledge
• SAP Retail experience
• Experience in producing HLDs, DLDs and functional specifications
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience of working with and managing relationships with 3rd party IT service providers
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation including experience of communicating technical information to a non-technical audience
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• SAP team leading experience
• S/4 knowledge or experience
• A relevant accounting qualification

It would be great if you also have

• S/4 delivery experience.
• Experience of Boots and Boots financial processes
