POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Software Intern is to provide support to FORTNA’s Software team. The environment will be a positive, supportive learning environment in which the intern may participate in work that directly correlates to their academic major. The intern will be assigned tasks by their Resource Manager dependent on capability and availability as well as be provided opportunities to expand skillset.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Work closely with our software development team to learn and contribute to real projects
  • Assis with coding tasks, testing software, and collaborating with team members
  • Crafting clean and reusable code accompanied by unit/functional tests.
  • Communicate effectively with Resource Manager and other staff within the organization; accept and apply critiques and suggestions to daily work to become more productive and/or efficient.
  • Demonstrate the highest commitment with assigned tasks; be proactive at work..

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Studying or degreed in computer science, engineering, or equivalent discipline.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, highly dynamic environment.
  • Desire to pick up and learn new technical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Good at communication skills and exposure to international work environment.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job.

Desired qualifications:

  • Proficient with English (both in writing and verbal communication), TOEIC > 700 (or equivalent)
  • Have ability to motivate others: understand human factors;
