Ribbon is looking for a motivated System Architect to join our Optical transport Architecture team.
Responsibilities
- Defining system-level requirements (both HW and SW), architecture, and functionality for Ribbon next generation optical transport products
- Accompany the design and execution process, ensure the design follows the architecture and meets the requirements
- Adapt new technologies from world-wide forums and standards organizations to Ribbon products
- Work closely peer System Architects, PLM, and R&D peers
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in development of carrier-grade communications systems
Advantages
- 3+ years of experience in System Engineering
- Experience in development/architecture of optical transport systems
- Second degree (M.Sc) or higher
- Experience in development/architecture of WDM/OTN/IP management systems
- Experience in requirement writing for web UI
