Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Duties:

• Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
• Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports
• Analyze payroll data, including taxes and deductions
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
• Handle inquiries from employees regarding payroll issues or concerns
• Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data
• Assist in the implementation of new payroll systems or processes
• Perform data entry tasks related to payroll

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Proficiency in UKG software
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of payroll procedures and regulations
• Familiarity with financial concepts, tax laws, and human resources best practices
• Ability to analyze and interpret data, including debits and credits
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll
• Experience with journal entries and reconciliations
