Senior Product Manager - Office Product Group 

Microsoft Planner 

Are you passionate about creating innovative and engaging solutions? Do you want to shape and define how millions of users collaborate and organize their tasks and projects? If so, you might be the ideal candidate for the Senior Product Manager role in the Office Product Group at Microsoft. 

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for influencing product strategy and delivering capabilities to propel growth of Microsoft Planner, an app that helps teams create plans, organize their work, and track progress. You will work closely with customers, partners, engineers, designers, and other product managers to deliver features and enhancements that empower users to achieve more with Planner.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap and backlog for Microsoft Planner, aligning with the overall Office Product Group goals and customer needs. 
  • Conduct market and user research, analyze data and feedback, and validate hypotheses to identify and validate product opportunities and requirements. 
  • Write clear and concise user stories, scenarios, and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality product features and user experiences. 
  • Communicate and evangelize the product vision, value proposition, and benefits to internal and external stakeholders, including executives, sales, marketing, support, and customers. 
  • Measure and evaluate the impact and outcomes of product features and experiments and use data-driven insights to inform product decisions and improvements. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field 
  • 5+ years of product management experience in the software industry, preferably in the work management, productivity, or collaboration space. 
  • Proven track record of delivering successful and impactful products that delight customers and drive business growth. 
  • Strong customer empathy and user-centric mindset, with the ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and pain points. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to support product decisions and prioritize trade-offs. 
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas to diverse audiences and stakeholders. 
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels. 
  • Passionate and curious about technology, innovation, and the future of work.
