As a Lead Architect you’ll be one of the key players in building world-class IT-systems which support the business on their mission to provide the best possible insurance solutions to our clients.

About the team

In our team you will work together with other architects to provide concrete solutions to our stakeholders needs whilst taking into account the business strategy as well as the architectural direction/target architecture. The team supports the Industrial business area but is part of the Architecture unit in If which means that work also entails supporting the whole of If for cross-cutting concerns.

Industrial IT is on a modernisation journey, and you will play an important role being one of the enablers for that to happen, providing direction and solutions towards the delivery organisation whilst promoting collaboration across If.

About the role

In this role you will get the opportunity to work the long-term perspective within the area as well across other areas, as well as working the solution architecture perspective very closely with the engineering team.

What are you going to do?

• As part of the architecture team you will be working with making the complex simple by driving IT simplification and supporting the business to simplify the business.
• You will be working towards the Industrial business area, which insures our biggest customers, and will support the Business Intelligence and Reporting area which handles all the reporting, analytics and soon to start AI/ML needs for the Industrial Business Area.
• You will support our stakeholders by giving architectural guidance as well as providing concrete solutions to our stakeholders’ needs.

What do we expect from you?

We are looking for a person who is a curious team player with excellent communication skills. You have extensive experience working with architecture in complex environments.You have a strong technical background and good knowledge in relevant Microsoft technologies such as experience in Azure technology Stack (Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory, AAS, Synapse Analytics) as well as Microsoft BI Stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI). It is also a plus if you have worked with data catalogues such as for example Alation.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can leverage your experience and strategic thinking to support operational work. You are also able to relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs when working in the intersection between business and IT development.

You must have:

• Relevant academic/university degree
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
