The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating program management activities by performing tasks related to data tracking, analysis, and implementation of results that meet the goals/objectives of the department.

Overview 

The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine is a new and growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the mission of taking St. Jude to the world by training the clinical workforce, by developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research. 

Responsibilities 

The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM)/St. Jude Global (SJG) at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH) is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Asia Pacific Regional Program. Duties will include assisting with implementation and oversight of projects and initiatives including researching, documenting, and disseminating information. This key team member will act as a liaison with other members of GPM/SJG and global collaborators, and thus must be able to communicate clearly and foster trusting relationships. The ideal candidate would be eager to help develop and grow programs in Asia Pacific, through a variety of projects and activities, in support of the St. Jude Global strategic vision. 

The GPM Asia Pacific Regional Program Program Coordinator is responsible for: 

  • Facilitating coordination of site visits and preparation of agenda and summary reports
  • Coordinating and implementing workshops (national and regional), including logistical support, materials creation, and working with local teams to ensure all aspects of meeting organization are addressed
  • Developing and implementing standardized tools, frameworks, and metrics to ensure execution of project deliverables
  • Maintaining and tracking project timelines and deliverables, including updating relevant data and project records
  • Facilitating communication and implementation of initiatives with global collaborators including governmental stakeholders and healthcare providers
  • Developing strong working relationships with partners both at St. Jude and global collaborator sites in Asia Pacific Region
  • Coordinating program finances including assisting with budgeting and budget tracking, communication with site financial manager, and evaluating site financial needs
  • Developing and designing compelling reports, presentations, and messaging specifically tailored for needs across partnerships
  • Collaborating with transversal GPM units (e.g., Infectious Disease, Health Systems) to coordinate engagement with partners in the Asia Pacific Region
  • Facilitating written and spoken discussions in live meetings, presentations, and email/written communications
  • Assisting with grant identification, preparation, and tracking
  • Ensuring alignment amongst SJCRH, GPM, and St. Jude Global strategic plans and missions

Minimum Education 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant related field required 
  • Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, or related field preferred 

Minimum Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in program management and delivery.
  • Significant experience working with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smarsheet, Clarity, Plainview, MS Office).

Skills and Abilities

  • Flexibility to travel (estimated up to 20%) for on-site facilitation, as needed
  • Ability to create reports and presentations, including data visualizations
  • Experience with project management methodologies
  • Strong communication skills with ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with diverse team members
  • Experience in the international and health care setting (clinical background a plus)
  • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate meetings across different time zones (early morning and evenings)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks • Consistent attention to detail
  • Adaptable problem-solving skills, able to analyze and synthesize new information quickly
  • Familiarity with general medical/health services terminology
  • Research and analysis experience a plus
  • Cultural sensitivity is a must 

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Program Coordinator, Asia Pacific Regional Program.
