Job Description

The PATH Summer Internship Program has been developed to provide an opportunity for students to explore and provide an employment pipeline within the different non-clinical career pathways in the Hospitality industry. This paid internship will run for approximately 9 weeks.

The Student Worker - Functional cleans and maintains assigned area(s) to meet customer and client satisfaction.

Program Requirements

  • Students are required to apply online. If selected, interns must complete and pass a background check and drug test. Interns must also complete an occupational health screening which includes receiving a flu vaccination and T-Dap (Tuberculosis) vaccination.
  • This program is for recent high school graduates who are at least 18 years of age and are interested in healthcare.
  • Students are required to work approximately 30 hours each week (Monday-Friday) and attend required coaching/workshops sessions.
  • Interns agree to rotate through 3 lines of services and attend mandatory bi-weekly workshops.

Job Responsibilities

Students are required to work from 25-30 hours a week and attend required coaching sessions/workshops.

Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state, local, federal, and Aramark regulations

  • Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others
  • Properly cleans and maintains housekeeping equipment
  • Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
  • Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
  • Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
  • Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required
  • Ensures security of company assets

EVS

  • 1.5 Weeks shadowing a housekeeper in 2 schedules
  • 1.5 Weeks in the surgical areas (if possible)

CTD

  • Interns will receive training to transport patients on their own, and have exposure to most aspects of CTD

FNS

  • 3 Week each in retail, production, and patient services
  • Interns will have exposure to all subdivisions within FNS, including shadowing and working side by side with team members

Qualifications

  • This program is for recently graduated high school students that are least 18 years of age who have in interest in healthcare.

Previous custodial experience preferred

  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
