The Marketing Technology and Operations Specialist is an organized, data-driven individual who is a strong, confident communicator with experience in data processes, business systems, vendor management, and organizational operations. This role will be critical in shaping and enhancing how nCino goes to market by leveraging and connecting technology to optimize operational efficiency.

At nCino, the Marketing Technology and Operations Specialist will optimize and manage the Marketing technology stack, budget, and supporting data, to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and contribution to the business. You will partner with department leaders to consult, design, rationalize, develop, and strengthen individual and team capabilities via process improvement, tools, and technologies. You will partner with Operations teams across the company, including sales, success, product, people, finance, legal, and IT to minimize technology redundancy and align on operational priorities and company goals.

Responsibilities

  • As a cross-enterprise function, this role will develop a deep understanding of each function of the Marketing department and partner with the leadership team to leverage and advance best practices and technologies. 
  • Organize and ensure information about our Marketing technology stack, including Vendors, Contracts, Invoices, and Systems (including user administration) is always up to date and transparent. 
  • Support Marketing business owners with managing the Marketing technology and operations budget, providing cost analysis and recommendations for optimal resource allocation. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, IT, Sales, and Business Development to ensure the effective utilization of technology tools to drive brand awareness, client acquisition, and revenue growth. Provide ongoing support to users, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating continuous improvement. 
  • Develop and manage new tools for measuring and understanding the health of the global Marketing business operation and support the creation and presentation of reports on Marketing financial, operational, and technology data and outcomes.
  • Responsible for managing our budget through our allocation tool, serving as a liaison between Marketing and Finance, and collaborating with the MLT and CMO on enablement, accuracy, and accountability. 
  • Act as project lead on technology implementations and optimization projects, report dependencies, conflicts, and completion date status to department leaders and business owners. Continuously seek process improvements, enhancements, and automation to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and contribution to the business 
  • Help coordinate and program manage training and optimization efforts to ensure that marketing and business development teams are proficient in using our technology tools.
  • Build out a framework for a Marketing Operations Playbook so we can maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) by defining and documenting operational best practices, workflows, and our technology landscape. 
  • Support Marketing leaders with the training and onboarding of new colleagues on applicable Marketing systems
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
  • 2+ years B2B marketing or operations experience
  • Knowledge and experience in Marketing technology systems including CRM, content management, marketing automation platforms, buyer intent and ABM platforms, demand generation tools and others.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience in research and organization of information
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Experience interacting with a variety of stakeholders, including sales and marketing and executive leadership
