FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: 8AM - 4PM; normal business hours

Position Summary

The Director of Risk Adjustment is a key strategic leader within MultiCare Connected Care, leading through matrixed relationships throughout MultiCare Health System and Network partners. This role will work with multiple stakeholders and must clearly communicate, coordinate, and influence execution of Risk Adjustment performance and priorities. Key areas of responsibility include data & analytics, clinician education, and audit & compliance. This role will be responsible for facilitating and supporting execution throughout operational divisions, leveraging strong teamwork and change management skills.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversee, coordinate, & develop analytics and dashboards, including regular and ad hoc reporting support, in order to forecast/evaluate the performance of the risk adjustment program and develop recommendations for refinements of the risk adjustment program strategies
  • Support the development, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of risk adjustment compliance programming, including system policies & procedures related to risk adjustment
  • Provide expertise to the collaborative development of workflows for risk adjustment activities and programs
  • In collaboration with clinician and revenue cycle partners, partner with operational leaders to support clinician education efforts
  • Lead a dedicated team of coders who support network risk adjustment activities, directing their work to achieve network goals
  • Work directly with operational leaders to interpret results, identify opportunities for improvement, and support a PDSA-based improvement approach

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 8 years’ experience years of risk adjustment, project management, operations, quality improvement or data analysis/reporting experience in the healthcare industry
  • 5 years’ experience in managerial or supervisory capacity
  • 2 years experience risk adjustment regulatory environment and risk adjustment program development required
  • 2 years experience in analytic suites (Microsoft PowerBI and Epic preferred) required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $129,293.00 - $187,782.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
