Job Description

As a Systems Administrator at NineStar, you'll play a pivotal role in unifying our network and server operations. You'll be the go-to person for Tier 2 troubleshooting, collaborating with both Network and Server Administrators to resolve complex issues. In addition, you'll work directly with our Security team to implement preventative measures and keep NineStar Connect's IT infrastructure secure. Your strong communication and analytical skills will be essential as you partner with internal teams and external clients to understand their needs and design effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot network and server issues, serving as a Tier 2 escalation point for the Network Administrator team.
  • Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including wireless internet, security solutions, and physical server systems.
  • Collaborate with Security on implementing preventative cyber solutions and mitigating identified vulnerabilities.
  • Research and understand new technical solutions to improve efficiency and security.
  • Work with customers to define their software and system requirements, then design and implement solutions that meet their needs.
  • Document technical procedures and maintain reference materials for training purposes.
  • Participate in projects, supervise implementation processes, and present work results to clients.
  • Perform moderately complex application and system upgrades, ensuring adherence to established policies.
  • Proactively identify tasks that can be automated or delegated to other teams.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent certification.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with network technologies, protocols, and equipment.
  • A strong understanding of current cybersecurity threats and preventative measures.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with evolving technologies.
  • CySA+ or BTL1 certification preferred.
