Position Overview

The Technical Lead, ESB will be instrumental in delivering the DTC (Direct to Consumer) business integration solutions for company using IBM integration product suite - IBM App Connect Enterprise ( ACE ), IBM MQ, IBM Datapower Gateway, Managed File Transfer ( MFT). This position contributes to global integration development and operations. Must be a proven team leader with critical thinking skills and should have a proven track record in managing diverse projects delivering against tight deadlines in a fast paced and demanding environment. The role demands a strong a sense of urgency as well as communication skills to ensure the team is quality, results and outcomes focused. Ability to handle ambiguity and create opportunity from complexity is necessary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Expertise in implementing IBM integration stack to support multi-brand, multi-region, multi-channel initiatives.
  • Experienced in all aspects of the software development life cycle and act as Integration Lead in estimation, design and mapping sessions, development, testing, release management, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Key participant in scrums and sprint management. Coordinate with business and support teams to provide status updates and communication on projects to stakeholders.
  • Design and Develop integration patterns that can be used as common framework across integration projects.
  • Analyze existing ESB solutions, optimize and modernize the solutions as needed and maintain existing code & assets and troubleshoot bugs within a complex global code base.
  • Responsible to support new enhancements, fix bugs, and support POC. Be a peer review for other developers and help support level 3 issues.
  • Participate in outage calls and root cause analysis and resolution of production issues, monitoring dashboards, and alerts.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience in computer engineering, Information Systems, or a relevant technical field and work-related experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in eCommerce, Retail, or Supply Chain areas technology implementation and delivering digitalization programs for the business, must have 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing IBM ACE / IIB, Datapower and MQ solutions.
  • Experience in IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) is a plus.
  • Proficient in industry standard message formats like REST/JSON, XML, WSDL, Web Services SOAP, XSL, XPATH, CSV, EDI and various protocols like MQ, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/SFTP.
  • Experience in integrating with Salesforce Storefront, IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan WMS and legacy ERP & CRM systems like SAP, Island Pacific and 3rd party Payment Gateway, Tax engine and Fraud solutions.
  • Experience in designing and deploying integration solutions to Cloud based providers, Azure (AKS – Azure Kubernetes System) or RedHat OpenShift Dockers and Kubernetes platforms.
  • Experience in enabling the cloud components to interact with on-prem applications.
  • Administrator level knowledge of IBM ACE/IIB, IBM Data Power, MFT and MQ components and ESQL/Java coding skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to partner with stakeholders inside and outside of IT as well as vendors and other external entities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and ability to execute workload to deliver high quality results.
