GENERAL FUNCTION

Lead release management activities for initiatives across the Helix organization within EssilorLuxottica’s IT organization. The position will work closely with the technical teams to gather & track technical tasks related to code releases to production software. The analyst is responsible for working with cross-functional teams using software development life cycle & project management principles. Coordinate with internal & external resources for deployment support on a continuous basis. Oversee code release to all environments, including sales demos and customer pilots, as well as run the business lead ticket management & communications.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing risks & resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules
  • Planning release windows & cycles across portfolios, components
  • Communicating release plans, changes, & upcoming Production activities
  • Measuring & monitoring progress to achieve timely software releases within defined budgetary limits & quality standards
  • Coordinating processes between different teams in various locations
  • Communicating necessary release details to business teams & IT
  • Managing, planning, & negotiating release activities as required
  • Coordinating enterprise release content, system changes, upgrades & other efforts as required
  • Producing deployment, implementation, & run book plans
  • Conducting release readiness & milestone reviews
  • Maintaining release schedules, ensuring it aligns with major vendors & other stakeholders
  • Working with release engineers to comprehend code merges & branch ramifications
  • Leading & coordinating checklist & deployment plan execution
  • Ensuring that releases operate as per expectations & manage issues
  • Initiating & overseeing the development/maintenance of technical guides, release notes process flows & other documentation
  • Manage small to medium technical projects as required
  • Support the ongoing run the business activities by managing ticket escalation reviews & communications
  • Organize project work intake requests for the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, or other technical credentials
  • Minimum 5 years of IT and/or System Analysis Management experience
  • Leadership experience on an Agile team required
  • Previous experience working with technical teams & resources
  • Experience with Insurance systems and application management preferred
  • Project management expertise with an ability to champion change and continuous improvement
  • General understanding of database structure and table relationships
  • Ability to learn complex technical environments
  • Ability to manage multiple changing priorities
  • Strong leadership & active listening skills
  • Strong written & oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical & critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational & documentation skills
  • PMP certification preferred

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
