Summary

  • Provides advanced technical support and administration of the core infrastructure systems for Linux (Red Hat, OpenSuse, CentOS, Debian & Ubuntu).
  • Works closely with the IT Manager, Senior Systems Engineers and Regional Service Delivery Manager to ensure exceptional customer service for all support needs. Resolves issues in a timely manner and enters resolution into the Service Centre tracking system as needed.
  • Administration of the Linux system to ensure the deployment of applications, patches and building of Kernels. Moreover, ensuring that the patches are up to date.
  • Provide disaster recovery protection to critical data by ensuring backup program is properly configured, administered, and maintained.
  • Design and documentation
  • Comprehension of ITIL methodology.
  • Must be customer service oriented and have exceptional verbal communication skills.
  • Should be comfortable in working in Shifts.

What You'll Do

  • 8+ years of equivalent Systems Engineer experience.
  • RHCE certification.
  • Ansible must, Automation
  • Linux Patching Bigfix or similar
  • Experience with Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Docker, Kubernetes
  • Public cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Linux Networking skills
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Virtualization, VMware, KVM

  • Strong architecture and solutioning skills
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or similar discipline
  • Excellent oral and written, communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrates an extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must have strong communication skills, able to work independently and be team oriented
