Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze revenue cycle processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  2. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of revenue cycle inefficiencies or issues.
  3. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including revenue cycle managers, billing specialists, IT staff, and clinical teams, to gather requirements and understand business needs.
  4. Develop business requirements, process maps, and documentation to support revenue cycle improvement initiatives, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart.
  5. Partner with IT teams to design and implement technology solutions, leveraging Python, UiPath, Django, and other relevant technologies, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  6. Participate in the testing and implementation of revenue cycle software upgrades or enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements and objectives.
  7. Provide training and support to end-users on new processes, systems, or tools, including the creation of user guides and training materials.
  8. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to revenue cycle performance, utilizing tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and provide regular reports and analysis to management.
  9. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes impacting revenue cycle management, and incorporate relevant insights into process improvement efforts.
  10. Act as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle processes and systems, providing guidance and support to internal teams as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in revenue cycle management or healthcare finance, with a focus on business analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL).
  • Experience with revenue cycle management software (e.g., NextGen) preferred.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and automation tools like UiPath.
  • Experience with web development frameworks like Django.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing regulations, compliance requirements, and reimbursement methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
