Doctoral Psychology Intern
Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Senior Director and Training Director of CAPS, the Psychology Intern provides brief psychotherapy related to issues of personal, academic and social adjustment to a culturally diverse student population while under the supervision of licensed psychologists. The Psychology Intern is also responsible for crisis intervention, referral, outreach, and scheduled 24 hour emergency consultation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have an interest in working in a University Counseling Center within the context of a diverse, Jesuit Catholic university located in an urban, multicultural area; current enrollment in a Doctoral program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (and/or regionally accredited) and advanced to doctoral candidacy; completion of all Doctoral coursework prior to the beginning of the Internship; verification of readiness for Internship by the Director of Training of their graduate school, able to begin accumulating supervised doctoral hours toward licensure; successful completion of required practicum training.
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Preference will be given to those candidates who have clinical experience in college mental health, crisis intervention, brief therapy, outreach, and working with diverse student populations.
