Applying a new Product strategy approach, Network Product Department is built on 4 Product-Lines and 2 Center Of Expertise delivering services worldwide:

Product Line:

  • Data Center & Cloud Connectivity
  • Security & Network Services
  • User connectivity
  • Call center & Voice 

Center Of Expertise: Products are designed globally in each Product-Line and integrated / supported locally in Asia and Japan through the Center of Expertise

Product catalogue defined for Security & Network Services product line is based on 2 products:

  • Security Services (NGFW, VPN, WAF, …)
  • Network Services (DDI, TACACS, NAC, …)

The present offer is to mainly deal with the DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) solution based on the EfficientIP solution which we are currently rolling out throughout the whole AXA group worldwide. 

JOB PURPOSE

The Product Owner is accountable for the products throughout their entire life cycle, including user needs gathering, market trend analysis, product trajectory, build, transition to support, operations, continual improvement and decommissioning.

MISSIONS

As a Product Owner, you will join the Security & Network Services Product Line which is responsible for designing, implementing, running global and standard network solution focused on Security & Network Services for all AXA Business entities worldwide. 

You will oversee the definition and delivery of various product visions as Product Owner. You will coordinate the book of work in close collaboration with the Managers of two internal entities part of the Product Line: Design & Engineering (D&E) and Build & Support (B&S).

Your main goal is to develop a solid product vision and putting client’s experience first, by leading and supporting specific activities linked to your scope:

  • Life Cycle:

You will prepare the Product roadmap evolution including innovation. This roadmap is defined and shared jointly with the Product manager and with the Design & Engineering manager who represents the internal Product-Line design authority. The Product roadmap should be fully compliant with the global strategy defined by Technology Office department.

In very close relation with the Market, you will define customer requirements, maintain a prioritized product backlog, organize Agile software sprints alongside Engineering and act as a product referent to the rest of the organization.

Part of the Life cycle stream, the Product Owner will be responsible for:

o Preparing with Design & Engineering team new functionalities and optimize/improve IT Solutions close to the Business

o Identifying Business process improvement areas and developing future business process flows accordingly with Business requirements.

o Piloting and insuring the already implemented processes

o Piloting the Business processes migration from existing to the new applications 

  • Support internal process, overseeing conformity of deliverables (quality, delay and cost):

o Organize, produce dashboard and animate specific committee to manage properly the activity

o Patch Management:

  • No running version including vulnerabilities and all running version fully supported by the vendor.

o Costing:

  • Define costing model and manage revenues (billing, cross contribution) with support of D&E and B&S

o Operating Model:

  • Define or amend the operating model with support of D&E and B&S

o Budget

  • Define and manage budget (budget definition, track expense, forecast exercise, …)
  • Builds the project portfolio for the next year
  • Report on consumption and define action plan in case of challenge

o Capacity Planning Management

  • Define Key KPI to monitor and track the margin
  • Manage capacity and forecast the upgrade

o Manage open audit points and controls of the Product

  • Collect and formalize evidence requested by auditors

o Asset Management

  • Manage our CMDB and track all deviation compare to the process

o Change Management:

  • Assist Network Engineers to prepare, schedule and present their change through the change management process. Produce dashboard to manage this activity 
  • Oversee documentation repository: 

o Make sure that we build and maintains the Global documentation of the product

o Assist Service Owners to prepare the service review meeting with the local Market department:

  • Build the dashboard
  • Explain the gap compare to the expectation
  • Summarize the main important event to share

o Target Operation model:

  • Assist internal Product-Line Team and Service Owner to define the target Operation Model for the Product.

Experience

  • University degree (engineer profile) with 10 years’ experience in Network Domain in an international and Matrix organization,
  • Extensive experience of animating international teams in a modern, inclusive way 
  • Must exhibit a strong understanding of today’s Network and infrastructure challenges and trends, mostly at Infrastructure and Technical levels.
  • Must have experience in driving large architecture, standardization & transformation initiatives
  • Established and demonstrably productive technical relationships with major IT vendors
  • Strives for excellence with deliverables of high quality and ability to work in sometimes tight planning

Technical Skills 

  • DDI knowledge (EfficientIP or more general DDI experience) is certainly a plus.
  • Good knowledge of client business issues, relevant product management trends and practices
  • Understands the revenue and margin impact of the Product Management role within the business
  • Understands internal AXA Services processes and governance (e.g. product, accounting, purchasing, people, project, finance, legal and IT)
  • Financial understanding including the ability to produce and review business cases
  • Awareness of relevant external financial, security, legal and commercial requirements of product development and delivery in associated markets
  • Good knowledge of operating model, services and support activities
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of key technologies relevant to products and markets
  • Expertise in the areas of analysis, critical thinking and decision making, information systems knowledge, innovation, knowledge of emerging technology, planning, risk management, systems thinking, application rationalization/TCO, IT Security and technical problem solving
  • Strong skills in influence, consultation and negotiating ability

  • Leadership – Exhibits strong results orientation, change leadership, adaptability and the ability to drive collaborative behaviour
  • Vision – demonstrates architectural vision and beliefs and is able to express them clearly, champion them, and debate his point of view in on-line forums or in-person workshops.

Network Products Engineer are expected to have the ability to understand and discuss with both senior managers and IT, and explain in clear language complicated architectural concepts and strategies

  • International profile – A proven ability to work effectively in an international environment. In addition, exhibits a strong proficiency in English
