We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Storeroom Coordinator within our Chemical Manufacturing Plant located in Pedricktown, NJ.

Essential Duties

  • This position is accountable for coordinating resources for the Stores Warehouse, for the stocking, receiving, handling, and delivery of material, equipment, and supplies, and for distributing parts to job locations.
  • Supports the core values of the organization by maintaining a focus on safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost consciousness, reliability, and operations.
  • Supports and participates in programs, methods, systems, and practices for maintaining a safe and environmentally sound work environment.
  • Performs shipping and receiving duties, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, storing of stock items, expediting materials upon supervision or management instructions, and recording data.
  • Unloads and verifies incoming material being received at the Storeroom. Documents items being received.
  • Stocks and maintains inventory in shelves, bins, and on pallets.
  • Inspects and accepts/rejects materials received; uses PMI (Positive Material Identification) to verify material of construction, as required, in accordance with company standards and guidelines. Tags items with results. Tabulates data from tests taken.
  • Delivers freight, stock, or other materials to and from stores, loading docks, or delivery vehicles, by hand or using fork trucks, walking stackers, etc.
  • Effectively uses the SAP Stores database. Must be able to enter and retrieve records, print reports, and accurately identify stock locations.
  • Assists with routine inventories of warehouse stock items; adjusts for errors; investigates and reports discrepancies.
  • Locates and selects materials, supplies, tools, equipment, or other articles from stock; issues stock items to technicians. Delivers products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas.
  • Escorts Storeroom customers as required.
  • Communicates employee concerns related to the Storeroom to appropriate supervision and management.
  • Trains and qualifies to operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts, walking stackers, etc.
  • Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects and reports damage to supervisor.
  • Participates in and supports training activities, and will demonstrate individual commitment to HESS and responds by demonstrating individual specific HESS responsibilities.
  • Performs all work in a safe and professional manner.
  • Performs safety, quality, and environmental inspections as assigned.
  • Performs regular housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work area. Complies with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Supports and fulfills the requirements of the plant’s ISO Quality System.
  • Assists with parts and equipment staging associated with the routine maintenance process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • Practical approach to coordinate work activities for fulfilling stocking and delivery of equipment and materials requests in a conscientious manner.
  • Proven ability to do the following: read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and procedure manuals; write reports and correspondence; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measures.
  • High level of safety & environmental awareness and commitment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Requires proficient use of computers and database systems, for time and data entry, as well as for accessing general plant communications. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP or equivalent computerized inventory management software is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with the Pedricktown Industrial Complex
