Primary Function:

Provides technical assistance to users of manufacturing systems and software or web applications. Resolves issues or problems related to the expected performance of an application. Maintains data and database, including update of tables. Generate and maintain reports and portals that support the accomplishment of the AFO performance metrics. Can lead the team in providing efficient and reliable performance of duties and service to customers.

Competency Level

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree (computer studies or engineering, ECE preferably)

Experience:

  • Must have at least 5 years of work-related experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in the electronics or semiconductor industry).

Knowledge, skill and abilities:

  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc.) and electronic mail (MS Outlook, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in at least 2 DBMS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and ability to use standard SQL scripts;
  • Has solid experience coding in at least 2 programming languages (Java, C, C#, C++, Python, etc.); has the competence in web development using HTML, Javascript, PHP, CSS, XML, etc.;
  • Familiar with Windows or Linux/Unix operating systems; excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems;
  • Familiar with network infrastructure topologies; adequate knowledge of Basic Electronics and reading schematics and data sheets for components;
  • Has background experience with Microcontrollers; working knowledge of help desk and technical support methodologies;
  • With knack for solving problems using available problem solving tools and processes;
  • With oral and written communication skills; must be resourceful, analytical, has perseverance, and is a team player.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.
