Job Description
Primary Function:
Intuitive designs and manufactures highly complex mechanical systems for use in surgery. The Machine Shop is responsible for providing support to development, engineering and manufacturing. This support includes both internal fabrication and modification of mechanical components.
We are a small team seeking a skilled machinist who has good communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate should be capable of high quality work on a variety of machine shop equipment and must be a team player with a “can do” attitude.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Making high precison parts and working closely with other team members in a fast paced environment
- Program setup/operate Prototrak Mill, Prototrak Lathe and Hardinge
- Precision measuring and inspection
- Maintaining organized and clean work areas
- Interpret and understand technical drawings and CAD files
- Operate band saws and other shop equipment
- Assist in fabricating prototype components and assemblies in support of product development with other team members
- Modify production materials as required per rework instructions
- Machining small and intricate parts from various metals and plastics
