Project Overview
Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.
Position Summary
The Lead Instrumentation Superintendent will be a supervisory position. Responsible for the organization and direction of instrumentation construction and related activities, which may be in a single area or across multiple areas. Coordinates with other discipline superintendents within assigned area of operation and, if required, with the client’s resident representatives on jobsite activities. General responsibilities are to ensure assigned instrumentation operations are compliant with all ES&H policies and procedures, design/specifications, completed on schedule, within budget and to quality standards. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule if required, including, but not limited to nightshift, split shift, or day shift to support the project execution plans and schedules.
Unless otherwise indicated, applicants for construction positions must have heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken and the requirements identified.
Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
