Job Description:

We are looking for a experienced Engineer person, who is highly motivated, and detail oriented to join our team at Skamania Lodge! This individual performs a variety of maintenance trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, HVAC, Painting, wall repair, tile work and upkeep of the preventative maintenance program of the resort/hotel. You will be working closely with different members of our team, so you will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.

Your Role:

  • Troubleshoots equipment using proper tools in a skilled craftsman-like manner.
  • Performs assignments as directed by the Director or Assistant Chief Engineer.
  • Reports any problems to the Director or Assistant Chief Engineer and/or resolves independently as able.
  • Assumes the duties of other mechanics when required, including light carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, etc.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment. 
  • Completes works orders and follows through with communication
  • Reports any damage or malfunction of equipment.
  • Repairs all malfunctioning mechanical devices.
  • While on shift, respond as part of an initial response team to any early warning or major fire alarm.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop, loading dock, and recycling areas. Responsible for glass and cardboard recycling. 
  • Maintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and storage of all tools.
  • Resolves guest complaints, ensuring guests' satisfaction. 
  • Other and additional duties may be expected of incumbent as well as assisting in other departments based on business need.
  • Share your knowledge and skills with others in your team.

COMPENSATION:

$23-$26 per hour depending on experience

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Pool Operator Certification, preferred
  • This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma.
  • A minimum of one years job-related experience (e.g. building maintenance).
  • Experience in building maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, refrigeration and carpentry skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, plumbing and wiring schematics, preferred. 

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $23.00/Hr. - $26.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
