Manager, Payroll

Job role and Responsibilities

  • Ownership and accountability for international payroll (EMEA/ LATAM/ APAC) end-to-end operations, including payroll processes and procedures, SOX controls, payroll accounting, audit support, delivering consistent and accurate payroll
  • Partnering with stakeholder organizations (including HRIS, Benefits, and HR Services)
  • Evaluating and reporting overall effectiveness of the team through performance metrics
  • Proactively identifying and acting on improvement opportunities utilizing best practices, while implementing and leveraging technology to improve operations
  • Establishing best-in-class, scalable process payroll operations, which meet jurisdictional compliance requirements, delivers outstanding employee support, and supports consistent & accurate execution in payroll 
  • Actively managing our vendor relationships.
  • Partner with leaders of international payroll to share thought leadership, best practices, and drive global consistency where practical Serving as a subject matter expert and point of contact for escalations and various ad hoc requests Improve overall employee user experience, ensuring timely completion of reports, and resolving customer service and technology issues, including closely working with the
  • Payroll GPO for policy and process improvement recommendations Will have to demonstrate ability to aid and help to the senior management as an when the situation demands.

Required Skills and experience

  • 10-12 years of experience in managing global payroll functions across EMEA, LATAM or Asia Pacific entities
  • Minimum 5 years of people management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce , Preferably with a degree of MBA/ CA/ CPA
  • Knowledge of Global payroll compliance – Filings, Compliance deductions and payments.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting – Payroll accruals, Payroll close processes and Payroll reconciliations.
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Experience on systems and tools like workday, SAP and proficient user of Excel
  • Ability to lead a team in the face of changing and competing demands and priorities
  • Proven track record of managing vendor relationships including monitoring performance for contractually agreed upon KPIs and SLAs, identifying where the vendor is not performing to expectations, and partnering with the vendor to drive improved performance
  • Your core strengths are in execution, organization, and ensuring accountability for performance across your team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

You have a breadth of understanding of how payroll partners with Finance, Tax, Accounting, HR and Operations/Customer Service, including how shared services provides value within the context of the broader business enterprise at a large public company with at least 5,000 U.S. employees. Working knowledge on automating payroll process through Robotics. Active engagement in Team sport, Community service, Extracurricular activities during professional service period will help align culturally. You have managed an in-house team when utilizing ADP’s payroll services. You are orientated to provided strong customer service and have excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical or financial information to a non-technical audience

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $82,000 - $196,000. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. EUC, a division of Broadcom, offers comprehensive benefits including, but not limited to: medical, dental, and vision plans, company paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
