Junior Category Manager - Graduate

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Joining HPE in a graduate role is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, proactive individual to grow with us and help us drive our continued success globally. You will focus on picking up the product news and innovations, and together with senior Category Managers process those information towards sales community and customers (sales people, partners and customers in the Czech Republic).

What you’ll do : 

During the two-year HPE Graduate Program, you will :

• You will support team members in making business critical decisions effecting both strategy and pricing
• You will actively participate in meetings with regional stakeholders, collecting product road-map information to ensure local teams have the most recent information to sell HPE products
• You will actively manage one or more business initiatives end to end from incubation to execution
• You will compile and analyse data that will be utilized to make critical business decisions
• You will provide quoting/pricing support for sales leaders and customers while protecting sales profits
• You will track contract/project deadlines assuring all deadlines are met
• You will proactively identify and assist with developing market relevant business initiatives and sales/marketing campaigns for our products and services
• You will support the business on channel engagements with distributors and partners to nurture the eco-system for focus products and solutions

What you’ll need: 

• Completed Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in either 2023 or 2024 with a focus in business, IT/engineering, economics, industrial engineering or related
• Up to 12 months of relevant experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Czech
• High proficiency in Excel and have working knowledge of MS Office
• Demonstrate a methodical approach with strong analytical and numerical skills
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and planning skills

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills and the ability to ask smart questions
