Pay Rate Starts At: $18/hour

Reports To: Food and Retail Management Team

Schedule: Must be able to work weekends and holidays; weekday hours also available

Hours: Vary and are dependent on weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change through the spring and summer

Position Summary:

We're seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a pivotal role, overseeing sales, operations, and inventory control. This position requires driving store sales and enhancing the customer experience through outstanding service. Key responsibilities include staff training, maintaining high visual standards, and maximizing profitability by assisting in effectively managing inventory, ensuring optimal productivity, and exceeding guest expectations according to WCS standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Builds Talent:

  • Trains and coaches associates to ensure they provide superior customer service.
  • Reinforces selling skills, focusing on guest experience and operation per-cap.
  • Ensures cash and inventory controls maintain high standards of staff compliance.
  • Identifies and resolves employee issues, ensuring documentation of unsatisfactory performance.

Sales and Service:

  • Models effective selling techniques.
  • Ensures adequate floor supervision.
  • Maintains merchandise standards to maximize sales.
  • Emphasizes to staff the connection of the guest experience to merchandise and food sales.
  • Communicates customer feedback, best sellers, and makes recommendations.

Presentation and Housekeeping:

  • Maintains a clean, neat, and organized workplace.
  • Ensures merchandise is fully stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Updates merchandise displays according to season and stock levels.
  • Ensures all store signage complies with WCS standards.

Inventory and Cash Controls:

  • Executes merchandise cash handling procedures appropriately.
  • Ensures accuracy and attention to detail in merchandise entering, transferring, and receiving.
  • Maintains accurate and organized inventory paperwork records.
  • Communicates inventory and price discrepancies and takes corrective action.
  • Participates in the yearly merchandise inventory execution to ensure staff accuracy.
  • Trains and directs staff in the importance of consistent cash register balancing.
  • Assists in controlling payroll and other controllable expenses.

Operational Standards:

  • Ensures proper maintenance and inventory levels of supplies.
  • Identifies and resolves store maintenance issues.
  • Ensures compliance with loss prevention guidelines.

Qualification Requirements

Requirements:

  • Prior retail industry experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in assisting with training, sales generation, operations, and merchandising.
  • Excellent communication, delegation, follow-up, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, working in a fast-paced environment while supervising activities at all levels.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
