Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle and MongoDB to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of relevant experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle and hands-on experience with MongoDB.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Oracle and MongoDB database environments, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle and MongoDB database software and related tools, including Oracle versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.
- Implement and maintain Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) for high availability and scalability.
- Configure and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data integration and replication.
- Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning strategies as necessary.
- Implement and maintain database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Apply patches and updates to Oracle and MongoDB databases in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
- Perform database schema changes and migrations as needed.
- Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage and optimize sharded MongoDB environments, ensuring scalability and performance for large-scale applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-7 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on Oracle and MongoDB.
- Solid understanding of database management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in administering Oracle and MongoDB database environments.
- Experience with Oracle RAC and GoldenGate.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Knowledge of database backup and recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with database security concepts and practices.
- Experience applying patches and updates to Oracle and MongoDB databases.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Oracle and/or MongoDB administration.
- Experience with other database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
