Job Description

Purpose:

  • Execution of marketing and sales strategies to optimize brand performance based on patient journey insights and market needs.
  • Leading the in-field team to execute marketing & sales initiatives, coordinating all activities related to marketing materials, and supporting other In-Field Teams’ related processes placing the patients’ needs at the center of any efforts and operating within AbbVie business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Effective territory & accounts management:

o Create pre-call plan using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, concerns and consistently gain logical and reasonable calls to action in order to close on every sales call.

o Optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc. 
  • Actively engage with multiple stakeholders to foster gathering of insights.
  • Support implementation of Marketing-led initiatives including supporting coordination with partner agencies to deliver appropriate campaign content, logistic support for cycle and kick-off meetings, patient-focused solutions and multi-channel and digital campaigns.
  • Share In-Field best practices, and support In Field Teams in their tactical executions to align In-Field Team activities.
  • Support marketing colleagues in the development of Marketing materials, in gathering information for forecasting, KPI monitoring and budget tracking as appropriate.
  • Create and execute a tailored made plan per account that will drive the account growth, in collaboration with brand manager, market access etc.
  • Liaise with Commercial Excellence to execute market research and customer interviews to inform Brand Planning.
  • Self-analyze of Veeva reports and CLM usage to maximize filed work.
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers assigned and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates in order to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, marketing qualifications preferred.

  • Sales or customer-facing experience and/or experience of working in other functions preferred.
  • Understands the market, range of customer and stakeholder needs as well as issues related to the therapy area, the healthcare environment and evolving landscape.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry business, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to apply strong patient empathy and understanding of customer needs when developing tailored messages and materials.
  • Proven track record of success in selling and exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Knowledge of basic marketing skills and principles for conducting market research.
  • Digital knowledge and experience
  • Operates effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Leads by example; Consistently displays positive behaviors and peer coaching through changing and challenging environments.
  • Preferred: Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas. Commercial pharmaceutical industry experiences such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing preferred. English language proficiency verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries).
