About Cornell Tech
The Health Tech Hub, located on Cornell University’s graduate campus on Roosevelt Island in New York City, engages in cutting-edge research, entrepreneurship, and education at the intersection of health and technology. The Health Tech Hub is an initiative of the Jacobs Institute; established jointly by Cornell University and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, the Institute’s mission is to transform key industries through technological innovation, deep-tech startups, and uniquely skilled talent. In these ways, the Health Tech Hub aims to create a more efficient, affordable, and inclusive healthcare system. Across all of our activities, we aim to bring New York City talent and economic impact and solidify its place as a nexus of healthcare innovation. Through collaboration with Weill Cornell Medicine, the NYC health ecosystem, corporations, start ups, government, and community groups, we identify healthcare challenges and opportunities, apply research in real-world settings, and jump-start innovative products, companies, and careers in health tech.
Position Summary

The Health Tech Initiative Director is an essential leader in driving the growth and expansion of the initiatives within the Health Tech Hub and work closely with the Jacobs Director Israel Cidon, Health Tech academic program director Tanzeem Choudhury, director of the Runway program Fernando Baquarez, and faculty to expand Health Tech program related collaborations with the city, state, and the healthcare establishment, growth of the Health Tech masters program, and create a funding model that supports research and entrepreneurship work related to Health Tech at Cornell Tech.
This is a benefits-eligible staff position for an initial term of two (2) years with possibility of extension. The work location is the Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island in New York City. The Director is expected to work on a hybrid schedule with presence on campus at least one (1) day a week.
