The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for keeping up to date equipment maintenance logs, inventory of machine parts, and update preventative maintenance manual quarterly. Performs daily routine maintenance of the facility as outlined by regulatory agencies and internal standards. The Maintenance Supervisor assists with all aspects of the property's maintenance including preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance duties. This person is also responsible for following the maintenance program to protect and maintain the property.

Job Responsibilities

  • The position is fundamental to all mechanical functions of the facility and includes working closely with the management, maintenance technicians, production supervisors, as well as, production employees.
  • The Maintenance Supervisor must perform the job duties with a view toward projecting a professional and competent image: Service to inside and outside vendors in a friendly and outgoing manner is also essential, while timeliness and maintaining a clean atmosphere are key.
  • Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned technicians.
  • Encourages maintenance staff to behave in a professional manner and comply with company’s safety standards.
  • Assure proper and routine maintenance on all vehicles and equipment.
  • Keeps up to date equipment maintenance logs, inventory, and update preventative maintenance manual quarterly.
  • Understands and follows the directions and tasks given by direct supervisor and conscientiously completes them.
  • Observes all safety standards and participates in the Company’s efforts to provide a safe work environment.
  • Maintain 5S and housekeeping requirements are being followed.
  • Ensure that a proper supply of regularly needed equipment and shop supplies is maintained and communicated with plant management.
  • This position requires frequent exposure to the outdoor climate and weather conditions. The normal working environment requires routine and frequent meeting of critical deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License or State issued ID required.
  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience
  • Minimum of 2-4 years supervising experience
  • Must have strong working knowledge of basic trades, such as, welding, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting equipment.
  • Ability to work on call and extended hours (including after hours, weekends and holidays as needed)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs unassisted.
  • Must be proficient and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel applications.
  • Must be able to operate forklift, tractor, sweeper etc.
  • Excellent organization and leadership skills
  • Must be able to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
