JOB TITLE: Stress Engineer - Aerospace
LOCATION: Bothell, WA
SALARY RANGE: $102,270 - $160,710 per year.

Summary:
- Perform stress analysis of complex interior, system and structural installations
- Derive specific installation requirements from FAA and customer requirements; determine critical loads and substantiation path for installations, assemblies, and details
- Review engineering drawings for structural integrity and compliance with FAA regulations
- Utilize classical hand analysis methods and Finite Element Modeling techniques
- Help the stress engineering manager in developing standards and best practices
- Complete stress analysis documents to show compliance to FAA regulations
- May perform as functional “Lead” for stress team on specific project(s)
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's of Science (B.S) in Engineering or equivalent, minimum 10 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- NASTRAN Modeling and FEMAP experience desired
- Ability: read and interpret engineering drawings; write technical reports and correspondence; to sit for extended periods of time, use hands to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products and Computer Aided Drafting/Design (CAD)
- Aviation background and aircraft interior industry experience desired
