Your role at Clorox:

Join our team as a Financial Analyst, supporting the Production Services Finance Supervisor. In this role, you'll be responsible for supervising and analyzing cost variations in manufacturing, logistics, and distribution, as well as maintaining cost-related data in our SAP transactional system across our Costa Rica plants. You'll play a key role in performing cost accounting closures, reviewing and controlling inventory movements within the company, and calculating standard costs for each fiscal period.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare the monthly financial close: Execute cost account reclassifications, generate expense reports and cost center analyses, supervise fluctuations in raw material and product prices, coordinate deliveries, and align with Logistics. Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations.
  • Implement manufacturing and logistics cost budgets for long-term, medium-term, and short-term plans.
  • Reporting and analysis of expenses from Production Centers, detailing the impact of fixed and variable expenses on unit costs per production line, and their performance compared to budgeted figures.
  • Weekly review of expense records affecting logistics costs, price variations, and plant expenses. Monitoring of production order variations and their accounting implications.
  • Annual Standard Costing Execution: Validate and ensure the accurate costing of raw materials allocated by the Purchasing department, review and corroborate with Production Supply the budgeted manufacturing hours and production volume per production line; verify and input costs (raw materials, imported products, monthly production hours, and monthly budgeted costs per production line) into SAP during the Standard Cost (Cost Roll) process coordinated by the Master Data department for the various existing inventories.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, administration, accounting, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing and logistics cost accounting, with optional inventory management involvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to influence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; familiarity with Power BI preferred.
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Intermediate proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
